Thursday Night Skate Barcelona September 30th 2004
This year I spend a week in Barcelona. On Thursday, I participated in  the Night Skate of course. At the same time there was a group of Dutch skaters from Skate-A-Round, one skater from Berlin and a delegation from DUSFOR, Düsseldorf, Germany. Together with the local skaters this was a nice blend of different skate styles. At about 22:30 Amalia started the skate and we headed up the first wide road towards the first water fountain. Because it was still very warm at night, many used the opportunity to take in cool water.

This skate is not for beginners. Everybody has to keep his/her eyes wide open, because the roads are not being blocked. The pace can be quite high. The downhills are spectacular as usual. (see also my Barcelona video of 2003). I enjoyed it very much to skate in Barcelona once again.

More reports and videos of the BCN-trip will be on this site soon.
