Exploring Skatefresh 2006

In January the Skatefresh crew was exploring the new routes for this years edition. Bart and Peter had been exploring the route on Saturday, but I was only able to join them on Sunday. I was freezing cold and we had to put on several layers of clothing to stay warm. Exploring new routes takes a lot of time. By car we did the long stages, occasionally getting out of the car to test the pavement on skates. In Holland you will encounter a lot of places with cobblestones. So often it happens that you think you have've found a nice route, only to find out that after several km's, the road turns bad and you have to find an alternativ.

In and around Utrecht we did the most of the exploring on skates. Entering the city, finding a nice place to have lunch and a nice route to escape the city into the country site.
