Riverjumping in Frankfurt (with skates ofcourse) july 30th 2005

Last year, I did some lake jumping in Zurich with American and Swiss friends. In the middle of the night we took a long run on skates and used a ramp to jump into the lake. This was awesome! (see the video in the video section on this site). My friends in Germany started jumping into the river Main earlier this year. In the last weekend of July 2005 the organised a Schnitzeljagd-tour in and around Frankfurt and a Riverjump! so I went to Germany to join them for the jumping (I skipped the tour), bringing my old skates.

The day was perfectly sunny and a lot of people had gathered for the event. All the necessities were present. Even a chartered ambulance with medical care! The beautiful new ramp made by Studio Bauform turned out to be too difficult. So we switched to the old ramp. The jumping was perfect. a nice smooth track, a good ramp and warm water. There was even a contest for best dressed skater. Unfortunately, I missed taking a picture of superman on skates.

I did some jumps, and enjoyed the view from the boat, taking pictures. Also, I shot a little video with my photocamera. For other cool movies check out www.mostazastudios.de It was a perfect day chatting and relaxing. at the end we had dinner and there was a ceremony with prices for the longest and for the most artistic jumps.
